Kayla's Field Trip

Today was Kayla's 4th grade field trip to Angel Mounds in Evansville (www.angelmounds.org). Eric and I took off work to go along as did several other parents. We had a really good time and it was pretty interesting. This was the first time Loogootee went on a field trip there. We had a great day and at least it was sunny! The tour on the grounds outside was so neat but that's when we got a little chilled at times!! Here's a picture of Kayla next to one of the house replicas.

Here is a picture of all of the 4th grade classes on the stairs leading to the highest mound. It is the highest mound because that is where the chief Indian lived! They had the kids on the stairs from shortest to tallest so "Shorty" is on the bottom steps--hey, at least we could see her in all the pics!!! Actually she is in the 3rd row and she's looking down in the picture.

Here is one more of her and her Dad standing on the bridge overlooking the little creek and the beaver dam behind them.

  1. What a fun day! :) That is a large class! Well, I say that.. I grew up in a town with only 900 people, so there were only 30 kids in my class throughout my life.. and they had us divided into 2 classes! lol. I am glad you guys had a good day! I can't wait for Olivia to have field trips!
