Easter 2009

Thought I'd post some pics from Easter Sunday before I change the background of my blog to a Spring layout. We all had a wonderful time and so glad the weather cooperated. Here's some pics of the girls before going to Easter Vigil Mass at St. John's.

Here's my beautiful flowering crabapple tree--so fragrant and beautiful. This is my favorite! I have hung eggs in this tree every Easter since we moved in back in 2001 and displayed my wooden Bunny!

Easter Sunday morning---the hunt is on! Here's Kayla with a pretty glittery one from the Bunny!

Danielle looking around. That Easter Bunny always leaves real hard boiled eggs so they enjoy chowing them down afterwards!

Olivia Jean found one on the deck before going out into the yard!

Finding Easter baskets on the front porch from the Easter Bunny. Look at Liv right in the middle of those girls where she always is!!! Funny!

Finally got a pic of all 3 of them smiling with their baskets:)
We gave them a few gifts, too, after the hunt. One of Liv's was another Touch n Feel animal book--crazy about them!!!

Danielle got a Twilight poster. My girls (and me) are CRAZY about Twilight right now. We can't wait for the next movie to come out in November. We're starting to read the books now.

Kayla with her Twilight poster and goodies.
Then we went to Papaw Brown's to celebrate Easter with the Brown side. Here's my Dad (it was actually his b-day Sunday) and Papaw (his b-day is this Sat the 18th).

Here's the great-grandkids with Papaw Brown. They all range in age from 10 1/2 yrs to 14 months. Kayla is the oldest and Olivia is the youngest.

And here's all of Papaw Brown's grandkids minus one. Front row is Ashley (uncle Charlie's step-daughter), me, Levi Brown and Tonya Mathies. Back row is Brett Mattingly, my bro Josh, Papaw, CJ Brown and Nikki Gee. (Gage Mattingly couldn't make it)

Papaw's favorite furry companion Amos Moses Brown posing with Pap's hat.

Ready to ride! We are definitely a 4 wheelin' family. It was a great time. Clifford took us to his coal mine to see all the big trucks, dozers, shovels, etc. Landon Wade Mathies was soooo excited and we hope to go back when it warms up and especially to take Landon back. He had a blast but was freezing too. We got back a little late.

Dad & Kayla on one bike and Josh and Jessica on the other. Let's ride!!!!
