Geez, so where did the warm weather go anyways? I had to take the van down to Jasper to Uebelhors for a "checkup" and it was chilly!! What was supposed to take maybe a 1/2 hr took 3 hrs! All I really needed was an oil change but my stupid check engine light had been on for about a week or so and I had them check that out too. It was an EGR valve & gasket needed and since my van is actually a Chrysler they had to go to Sternberg's and get the parts and then come back and put it on. Thankfully they have a little kid friendly area with toys, blocks, etc so Olivia kept herself entertained, but it really sucked walking around there for 3 hrs. If I had known from the get-go that it would've taken that long I could've used a loaner and got my WalMart shopping done, but I didn't. I called Eric, told him the price, then told him I was NOT going to WalMart after all. He can later if he wants to or we can go this weekend. We need groceries bad! Anyway, 3 hrs later, $330 later, one throbbing headache later, 1 slightly fussy/tired/hungry baby later, I finally arrived back home. Home Sweet Home--glad to be here. This was not the day off I had imagined. Oh well...By the way, Olivia Jean is 13 months old today and walking like a pro--finally! She still acts a little drunk at times :)
Tonight the plan is Fat Boys pizza from Montgomery. We all love that stuff especially Olivia! She's a pizza freak! She has to get that from her Dad---he could eat it morning, noon and night I believe. I normally fix spaghetti on Thursdays but Danielle has been begging for Fat Boys for 2 weeks now since she was gone the last time we had it. Kayla has dance so when she gets out her and Eric will go pick it up.
My feet have been killing me lately--really bad. If people would see me get out of bed in the middle of the night or early morning I look like an 85 yr old woman who hasn't walked for a week. I can barely use my feet. I had my uric acid checked at the clinic I work at about a month ago because I used to have gout and thought (hoping) that was my problem but it wasn't. So, finally after about 6+mos of putting up with this pain I had Jenny take xrays Monday. Come to find out I have 1 cm heel spurs plantar & posterior bilaterally. Which means I have spurs top & bottom of my heels on both flippin' feet!!! I couldn't believe it. Cathy said I have a set of horns on both feet. I said I know and it feels like Satan is in them too!! I'm going to see a foot doctor March 24 in Bloomington. I'm hoping for injections & insoles and no surgery but we'll see. That's the last thing we need.
The girls had religion class last night and Danielle had made a 4 leaf clover t-shirt in her class for St. Patrick's Day. It's really cute. I'll post pics later. Danielle announced last night that she wants to grow up to be a babysitter & Kayla wants to be an artist! Eric & I always jokingly say "no, you will be engineers"! We love to tease them about that. I told them they have to get college degrees in some field and they still have many years to find their calling but we don't want them to struggle with money like we have in the past. I told them money isn't everything but it makes life easier! Wish I could keep them at this age and they'd never have to worry about bills, groceries, jobs, etc, but that's impossible :(
