Sleepover & School Program

Kayla had a sleepover with her BFF Kirsten this past Saturday night. Here they are posing like cool girls!!

Danielle threw a holy fit because Kayla & Kirsten wanted to play "alone" so her Daddy had to distract her and play Spongebob Operation with her.

Here she actually got one out without the buzzer going off!! How cool does she look here??

Daddy coming home from hunting Sunday morning with Liv in her green hat! They look like twins. I think this is the first ever pic I've gotten of Eric without his glasses on--funny:)

Tuesday night we went to Kayla's 4th grade music program. Here is a not so great pic of her on the left and a classmate as they get ready to sing.

On our way out of the auditorium the 4th graders had art projects displayed so I took a pic of Kayla's. She is our little artist and every teacher she has ever had has made mentions of her creative abilities to us. I hope she can use this talent one day. This is a leaf with several different painted leaves inside of it. Pretty neat I thought!

We decided on a hotel.....finally:)

We have decided to plan a summer vacation to Florida this coming June! It was my brother Josh and sis-in-law Jessica's idea and since then has became a family vacation! Now my mom, dad and us 5 are all going. We'll leave June 12 and stay for a week at Daytona Beach! Of course all my girls care about is Disney World and the fact that they'll celebrate b-days on the beach! Danielle's b-day is June 12 and Kayla's is July 12 so we'll have to have cake on the beach!! Fun! Here is a picture of the hotel we all agreed on today. It's the Inn on the Beach Hotel over looking Daytona Beach. We should have an awesome ocean view right from our balconies! Looks nice--hope it is once we get there. You never know. As long as we have a pillow to lay our heads on we don't really care!!

Fresh Cuts

Eric was off today for a dental appointment so I scheduled the girls for 4:30 haircuts at Merle Norman's in Jasper. He took them to our hairdresser, Diann Kuzemka, & she gave them trims. They both really needed their ends trimmed & freshened up.

Crazy Danielle & Kayla. By the way, like Kayla's smile? She just lost both of her top lateral incisors! She said she looks like a rabbit!

Olivia started getting sick again yesterday so I was thankful Eric was off with her today. He brought her into the clinic I work at & had Cathy, our NP, check her out. Her diagnosis ended up being bronchitis which sucks because she needs breathing treatments, another antibiotic & she rec'd a shot of the antibiotic Rocephin! She's actually feeling better tonight we believe. That shot is pretty powerful & I gave her a breathing treatment.

Way to go Kayla!!

Kayla won Reserve Grand Champion rabbit this past summer at the county fair which was a very big deal for all of us. We got all of our rabbit feed through Mattingly Feed Store which is owned by our uncle Gerry Mattingly. We turned in all of our receipts, newspaper clippings & a 5X7 photo of her with her rabbit and trophy and in return she received a Kent feeds fleece pullover and a $10 certificate for a bag of feed! The certificate will come in handy considering we now have 6 rabbits to feed! We are very proud of her and really want another big win this coming summer! Here she is with her winnings!

Olivia had a playdate this past Saturday when Aunt Jessica brought her cousin Keyton over to play. He was born exactly 2 days after Liv on Valentine's Day!

Here they are playing ball with Kayla's beach ball!!

Olivia with her big sister Danielle...

This is Olivia's new "cheese" face. Everytime we get the camera out or cell phone to take a pic and we say "cheese" she does this. I love this one showing off her bottom teeth and GUESS WHAT? She has her top two teeth just poking through her gums this week! So exciting!!! She has fussed a little bit with them and I just give her some Hylands teething tablets and occasional Tylenol if needed and she's much better.

Another "cheese" face waking up from her nap....always happy!

Mommy and her soon-to-be 9 month old (on the 12th)baby! What would we do without you, Livvy Jean? You complete our family:) By the way, notice the bib? Spit out the green beans with rice but ate all of her peaches and dutch apple! She usually refuses all baby food at supper time knowing that she will get to eat "real" food!

Standing everywhere & some more good pics...

Miss Olivia Jean has been pulling herself up to stand now for a couple weeks or more but most recently every room I leave her in and then return to she is standing and holding onto something!! Here I caught her holding onto her dresser and pulling all the blankets out of the bottom drawer!

...and playing with the bottles of water

....digging into her toy keeper in the living room

Here is Olivia the morning after trick or treating eating a sucker. She was sure sticky but she had lots of fun!!!

Danielle took this picture of Olivia the other night in the bathtub with Kayla. They had made a little mini-mohawk and thought it was just hilarious!!

Here is a picture of Olivia with her Daddy that I really like. This was the night we had a trick or treater walk in and she wanted to be held! See her little Pooh bear slippers?!

I just had to throw this picture in..it's Danielle posing as a strong woman, but notice the chest area? She had a soft bra stuffed with wash rags!! That's the same thing I did when I was a little girl. (For some strange reason my camera changed the year to 2007 for these next 2 pics and I don't know why!!)

Here's a good one of Kayla holding one of our rabbits, Thumper.

My Lil' Trick or Treaters!!

We went trick or treating last night to family and close friend's houses and the girls made a killin'! It took us over 2 hours to go to everyone's homes because you hate to just drop in and get candy without visiting for a few minutes!! Here is scary Kayla, pink kitty Olivia and Danielle as a "pink" pirate!!

Pink Pirate Danielle posing!!

Kayla really did look scary, didn't she?

I am holding the world's cutest pink Livvy-kitty!!!

Of course we went to Papaw Brown's house--here he is with the girls. He's actually the girls' great-grandpa! I don't know what we'd do without him. We love Papaw Brown!

I left work for a little bit Friday to attend Danielle's Halloween parade at school. Here is our babysitter Mindy Walker & her daughter Brittany walking in the parade. Mindy is truly a second mommy to my girls. It's so nice to know your children are really being taken care of while you're at work and you have absolutely no worries!!
